Balser Art Collection at Emory University’s Goizuetta Business School
The Balser Collection encompasses more than 180 works collected for the business school and donated to it by Ron and Barbara Balser. The works by contemporary and internationally known artists reflect and reinforce the goals of the Goizueta Business School as an international school where business knowledge alone does not make a leader. An awareness and appreciate for art and embracing diversity are all part of one’s education.
The Balsers are firm believers that business knowledge alone does not make a leader. “You should be well-rounded in all forms of visual and performing arts,” Barbara explains, noting Goizueta Business School shares the quad with the Donna & Marvin Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. “An awareness and appreciation for art and embracing diversity are all part of one’s education—it’s more than just a degree . . . it’s a lifestyle.”
